Melania G. Mazzucco

Melania Mazzucco (Roma, 1966), escritora italiana, que publicou o seu primeiro romance em 1996, Il bacio della Medusa, finalista nesse mesmo ano do Prémio Strega. Em 2000, o romance documentário sobre Annemarie Schwarzenbach, Lei così amata, recebe o Prémio Napoli e o Prémio Bari para a categoria de romance. Em 2003, o romance Vita vence o Prémio Strega e o reconhecimento internacional em Espanha, com o Prémio Santiago de Compostela em 2005, e no Canadá, com o Globe and Mail Book of the Year.
A Arquitetriz, romance de 2019, vencerá vários prémios, entre eles o Prémio Stresa e o Prémio Manzoni. O romance Un giorno perfetto foi adaptado ao cinema, em 2009, com realização de Ferzan Özpetek.
