Maureen Murdock, doutorada em Filosofia, sempre se interessou por mitologia e memórias, por isso ensina e escreve livros sobre ambos os temas. O seu livro A Jornada da Heroína, A Busca da Mulher pela Plenitude, que explora o vasto território da psique feminina, foi traduzido para uma dúzia de línguas, tendo orientado workshops sobre o tema para mulheres nos Estados Unidos e na Europa. Maureen Murdock foi diretora e professora principal do Programa de Psicologia de Aconselhamento do Pacifica Graduate Institute e ensina escrita de memórias para o International Women’s Writing Guild. Os seus outros livros incluem Fathers’ Daughters: Breaking the Ties that Bind, Unreliable Truth: On Memoir and Memory, Spinning Inward: Using Guided Imagery with Children for Learning, Creativity & Relaxation. Maureen vive na Califórnia.
