Matthew Cordell is the author and illustrator of numerous picture books that have become known throughout the world.
Matthew has won numerous awards, including the Medal. Caldecott in 2018 and the White CrowsAs an illustrator, he collaborated with many other authors, including Gail Carson Levine, Philip C. Stead, and Rebecca Kai Dotlich.
Matthew lives with his wife, the writer Julie Halpern, and their two children in the suburbs of Chicago.
