Marina Fiorato, inglesa de ascendência veneziana, nasceu em Manchester. Tem uma licenciatura em História pela Universidade de Oxford e fez uma especialização na dramaturgia de Shakespeare. Trabalhou como ilustradora, atriz e crítica de cinema.
No catálogo da Porto Editora figuram já os seus romances A Virgem das Amêndoas (2010) e O Coração de Murano (2011).
