Anne-Sophie Girard e Marie-Aldine Girard são gémeas e nasceram em 1980 em França. Uma é humorista e comediante, a outra trabalha como jornalista. Juntaram todos os seus conhecimentos (fruto de um trabalho de investigação) e de inquéritos aprofundados e de trocas de impressões entre amigas) e acabaram por publicar as suas descobertas, com o fenomenal êxito de 800 000 exemplares vendidos em menos de um ano em França, e com direitos de tradução adquiridos já por 14 países.
