Maria Vitória Afonso

Maria Vitória Eduardo Afonso nasceu em Colos, no concelho de Odemira na década de 40. Estudou em Beja onde fez o Curso Geral dos Liceus e, depois, ingressou na Escola do Magistério da mesma cidade. Exerceu o ensino no distrito de Beja durante 6 anos, tendo depois transitado para o Distrito de Setúbal onde desempenhou a sua profissão no concelho do Seixal cerca de 28 anos. Fez o bacharelato em História, na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Clássica de Lisboa. Depois de aposentada dedicou-se à literatura, tendo publicado alguns textos que ao longo de toda a sua vida escreveu, e a dedicar a maior parte do seu tempo à escrita.
