Maria Toscano

Bem fornida de carnes e nervuras, Maria Toscano, alentejana de Campo Maior, aprecia enchidos e, aliás, toda a boa mesa - incluídas as conversas e controvérsias com os amigos após um bom repasto.
Instigada à escrita há mais de vinte anos pela nervura da fala poética, a autora também se deleita em cantar: Piaf, Mahler, portugueses (fados e outros), brasileiros e Chavela Vargas constam da sua trajectória de animação de bares ou de intervenção cultural.
Militante social infiliável mas fiável; curiosa, desconfiada mas firmada nas suas raízes sulistas, a autora optou, profissionalmente, pela Sociologia - sendo docente no Instituto Superior Miguel Torga, de Coimbra (desde 1990) e Doutora em Sociologia pelo ISCTE, em Lisboa (novembro / 2010).
