Doutorada em Literatura Oral e Tradicional, no seu percurso já foi consultora para as Palavras Andarilhas de Beja; Diretora da coleção «Redes e Enredos», (Ed. Apenas); Membro do IELT (Instituto de Estudos de Literatura Tradicional), da UNL; Membro do IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People), colaborou com o antigo IPLB na área das itinerâncias (dinamizando sessões sobre literatura tradicional e de autor em muitas bibliotecas do país) e manteve, durante um ano, a crónica semanal «Dicionário Íntimo», no jornal «Semmais». Autora de vários livros na área da ficção e ensaio, recebeu uma Menção Honrosa no Prémio Nacional de Conto Manuel da Fonseca (2020); o Prémio Literário Alves Redol (Conto), em 2021 e, com o livro 101 Contos-de-Bolso, o Prémio Nacional de Conto Manuel da Fonseca, 2022.
