María Solar (Santiago de Compostela, 1970): Escritora e jornalista, trabalha na Televisão da Galiza e na Rádio Galega. Licenciada em Jornalismo e em Biologia, é também diplomada pelo Magistério e especialista em informação sobre ecologia e ambientalismo. Enquanto comunicadora recebeu os prémios Mestre Mateo em 2012 e 2013 pelo programa cultural ZigZag, do qual foi apresentadora; e o 2.º Prémio de Jornalismo de Inovação e Investigação da Galiza. Publicou uma dezena de livros infantis, graças aos quais recebeu o Prémio Lazarillo em 2014, os Prémios Frei Martín Sarmiento em 2014 e 2013, e foi selecionada para o White Ravens em 2015 e 2016.
