Tendo iniciado o seu percurso profissional na área de gestão e administração, Maria Manuela Gonçalves começa uma nova etapa da sua vida nas duas últimas décadas dedicando-se à experimentação de diversas formas terapêuticas e realizando vários cursos e práticas, destacando-se entre eles a formação sacro-craniana do Upledger Institute. em 2002 iniciou a actividade profissional terapêutica com a terapia sacro-craniana e a libertação somato-emocional.

Desde 2004, alia a psicoterapia (Processo de Memórias Profundas) às suas terapias de libertação emocional. 2006 criou o seu próprio método de trabalho com o nome de Imaging Therapy®, de acordo com o qual a terapia se desenvolve nas três dimensões: mental, emocional e física. em paralelo, inicia oficinas de desenvolvimento pessoal sobre os temas de Imaging, Relacionamentos, Caminhos da Alma e, por último, Mitos do Masculino e do Feminino.
