Professora Auxiliar do Departamento de Matemática na UTAD desde 1985, onde leciona Estatística e Investigação Operacional. É investigadora do CIDTFF (Centro de Investigação em Didática e Tecnologia na Formação de Formadores). Os seus principais interesses de pesquisa estão relacionados com o ensino de Estatística e suas questões atitudinais e didáticas, bem como com o campo da pesquisa etnomatemática. Também tem desenvolvido investigações no pensamento crítico e nas suas relações com o pensamento estatístico, e faz parte do grupo pluridisciplinar sobre pensamento crítico e criativo da UTAD (webPACT).
