Maria Leonilda Soares Videira da Fonseca Pereira nasceu na Guarda a 13 de julho de 1952.
Licenciou-se em Filologia Românica e fez mestrado em Sociologia das Religiões.
Colaborou e promoveu Semanas das Religiões UNL.
Lecionou Português e Francês.
Promoveu intercâmbios internacionais.
Representou Portugal em reuniões sobre a Educação em França e na Dinamarca.
Colaborou e continua a participar em sessões de leitura e de escrita criativa.
Desde cedo, dedicou-se à escrita e à leitura, atividades que lhe ocupam os dias.
É criadora de narrativas para deliciar os seus cinco netos.
