Maria José Ferrada
María José Ferrada (Temuco, Chile, 1977). Journalist and writer. She has an extensive body of work for children, recognized with the 2021 SM Ibero-American Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature. Her first adult novel, Kramp (Emecé, 2017), has been translated into eleven languages, and received the Art Critics Circle Award, the Best Literary Works Award from the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, and the Santiago Municipal Literature Prize. Her second novel, The cartel man (Alchemy, 2021) received the Art Critics Circle Award.
