Maria José Chambel é professora associada de psicologia das organizações na Faculdade de Psicologia da Universidade de Lisboa. A relação entre o trabalho e a família é um dos temas mais recentes da sua investigação, tendo orientado várias dissertações de mestrado e teses de doutoramento sobre esta temática. Autora de vários livros nacionais e internacionais e de vários artigos em revistas internacionais, dos quais se destacam os livros publicados na Editora RH, Trabalhar num Call Centre: Dos Mitos à Realidade (2010) e Novos Desafios para a Gestão de Recursos Humanos: O Caso dos Trabalhadores Temporários (2011) e a Encyclopedia of Quality of Life Research (Board Editor, 2014) e os artigos no Journal of Organizational Behavior (2007), Economic and Industrial Democracy (2010, 2011, 2015), Journal of Managerial Psychology (2012), Human Resource Management (2010, 2014), Stress and Health (2013), European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (2013, 2014), Social Indicators Research (2013, 2014) e Journal of Career Development (2014).
