Maria Guedes nasceu em Lisboa em 1978 e desde cedo revelou um enorme fascínio pelo mundo da moda.
Licencia-se em Marketing e Publicidade em 2000 e, três anos mais tarde, conclui uma pós-graduação em Comunicação e Imagem.
Em 2006, viaja para Nova Iorque onde frequenta o Associates Fashion Studies Program da Parsons - the New School for Design. Estagia com os reconhecidos designers americanos Zac Posen e Jill Stuart e colabora na organização da New York Fashion Week.
De regresso a Portugal dedica-se ao personal styling, shopping assistido e design de roupa por medida. Continua a desenvolver projetos de design de acessórios (para outras marcas), ilustração e pintura.
No início de 2009 lança o seu blogue www.mariaguedeslisboa.blogspot.com com considerações diárias sobre moda, estilo, ilustração e compras.
