Maria de Lurdes Monteiro

Maria de Lurdes Monteiro (Nina) was born on December 30, 1939, in the parish of S. Martinho de Bougado, Trofa.
He took the 2nd year exam at the Sá da Miranda High School in Braga, and the 5th year exam at the Santo Tirso High School. He attended the Mothers' Work for National Education in Porto for two years.
Being the eldest of a family of nine siblings, she became accustomed from an early age to helping her mother with household chores. She was also the right-hand man of her father, an industrialist of accessories for loom shuttles and woodworking machines, who fell ill at a young age. Around this time, Maria de Lurdes decided to dedicate herself to giving private lessons to children and adults at night. It is also during this time, dedicated to teaching, that Maria de Lurdes begins to write children's stories, some of which are compiled in the work Aunt Nina's Stories, and poetry, gathered in the work Tears"Nina" is the pseudonym chosen in honor of her father, who always called her that.
