Margarida Batista nasceu em Lisboa em 1976. Trabalha numa biblioteca. Amante da leitura desde que aprendeu as primeiras letras, escreveu os primeiros textos e poemas aos 14 anos. Apaixonada por provérbios e expressões idiomáticas, cultura popular e folclore, mantém um blog e uma página no Facebook de seu nome Provérbios Provados. Publicou Verso branco em 2018 e Provérbios Provados é o seu segundo livro.
