Marco Antonio Sandoval de Vasconcellos é bacharel, mestre e doutor pela USP, professor do Departamento de Economia da FEA/USP, coordenador de pesquisas e de cursos de extensão e especialização da Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas (Fipe), presidente do Conselho Regional de Economia de São Paulo, ex-conselheiro do Conselho Federal de Economia e ex-membro da Comissão de Especialistas do Ministério da Educação e Cultura (1999/2002), responsável pela elaboração do Exame Nacional de Cursos (ex-Provão, atual ENADE) de Economia. Coautor dos livros Economia brasileira contemporânea, Manual de macroeconomia, Manual de microeconomia e Manual de econometria, publicados pela Atlas.
