Uso dizer que foi pela «porta da cozinha» que entrei na televisão, já lá vão 40 anos, com programas para crianças e onde a receita era o pretexto para se fazer a festa com histórias e cantigas. Valeu-me na hora a minha experiência de ator, incipiente, é certo, mas suficiente para abraçar o desafio. Há muito que a minha função televisiva é distinta, digamos que, desde então, na «sala de visitas», onde recebo para conversar e descobrir o outro. Porém, não esmoreceu o gosto de cozinhar e de partilhar receitas. Daí que volta e meia surja um novo livro e já perdi a conta aos editados desde o Em banho-Manel nos idos de oitenta.
