Manuel Inácio Cotovio

Manuel Inácio Cotovio nasceu em 1932, na Aldeia das Pias, Santiago Maior. Desde muito novo ligado à cultura popular, integrou o grupo de teatro amador e sempre se dedicou às questões da sua terra. Ao longo da vida manteve colaboração dispersa com a imprensa escrita local e regional. Possuiu talvez o maior espólio particular de literatura de cordel do distrito de Évora. Viveu em Évora desde 1964, onde faleceu em 29 de julho de 2024.
