Manuel de Almeida Ribeiro (n. 1955) licenciado em Direito pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1979) e Doutor em Ciência Política pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (1992), com agregação em Ciências Jurídico-Políticas pela mesma universidade (2002). É docente no Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas da Universidade de Lisboa, tendo várias obras publicadas na área do Direito. É Presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Direito Internacional, membro do Executive Comitee da International Law Association, sendo também investigador integrado do CIIMAR – Centro de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental.
