Luiza Neto Jorge nasceu a 10 de maio de 1939. Frequentou o curso de Filologia Românica na Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa e viveu em Paris, entre 1962 e 1970. Autora de guiões cinematográficos e de adaptações teatrais, Luiza Neto Jorge desenvolveu uma vastíssima prática editorial enquanto tradutora. Integrou o grupo que se reuniu em torno do projeto Poesia 61, ao lado de Gastão Cruz ou Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão. Faleceu a 23 de fevereiro de 1989.
