Luísa Esmeralda dos Santos, nasceu em 1961, na freguesia da Graça, em Lisboa. Licenciou-se em Estudos Portugueses pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Fez o curso para Novos Leitores pelo ICALP, atual Camões, Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, IP. Foi autora de manuais e material multimédia para o Ensino à Distância. Escreve para contar histórias talvez e unicamente porque não gosta de as viver. Publicou "Angústia Fragmentária" em 2004. Atualmente, exerce funções como professora de Português para estrangeiros e formadora do ensino de adultos, numa escola pública.
