Luis Landero

Luis Landero was born in Badajoz in 1948. He graduated in Hispanic Philology from the Complutense University, taught Literature at the School of Dramatic Art in Madrid, and was a visiting professor at Yale. He debuted in literature in 1989 with the novel... Late Age Games (Critics' Prize and National Narrative Prize 1990), which were followed by numerous titles, among them Today, Jupiter (XV Archbishop Juan de San Clemente Award) The balcony in winter (Winner of the Book of the Year Award from the Madrid Booksellers Association and the Dulce Chacón Award 2015). Translated into several languages, Luis Landero is considered one of the essential names in Spanish literature. In 2022, he received the National Prize for Spanish Literature.
