Luis Alvellos nasceu em 1940 e formou-se em Engenharia Civil pelo Instituto Superior Técnico, tendo tido intensa atividade empresarial, com intervenção em empreendimentos imobiliários de vulto.
Atento às mais diversas vertentes de expressão cultural, é leitor compulsivo e visitante infatigável de museus e de galerias.
Publicou, em 2022, Contos da insónia e, em 2024, Das Margens do Meu Rio (poesia).
Autodidata, expôs desenho e pintura em 2023 no Grémio Literário.
