Lisa Mantchev é uma mística escritora americana. Também é professora de inglês, atriz, artista e deusa doméstica. Vive com o marido, dois filhos e três cachorros peludos. É mais conhecida como autora de ficção, da trilogia de fantasia para jovens adultos The Théâtre Illuminata, o que já lhe conferiu várias distinções, entre elas o Mythopoeic Awards em 2012. A trilogia é composta por: Eyes Like Stars, Perchance to Dream e So Silver Bright (Feiwel and Friends). O livro Elefantes não Entram valeu-lhe em 2016 uma menção honrosa nos NCTE Charlotte Huck Awards na categoria de melhor livro infantil. Faerie Magazine, Clarkesworld, Weird Tales, Fantasy Magazine e Strange Horizons são algumas das revistas onde colabora escrevendo contos.
