Lina Bengtsdotter (n. 1977) foi criada na pequena cidade de Gullspång, cenário da sua elogiada série Charlie Lager. Tem experiência em ensino nas áreas de sueco e psicologia e iniciou a sua carreira literária como contista com trabalhos publicados em vários jornais nos países nórdicos.
O seu primeiro livro, For the Missing, rendeu-lhe o prémio Crimetime Specsavers de 2017 de 'Estreia do ano no crime' na Suécia e estabeleceu uma autoria de ponta no cenário mundial, definida por enredos bem elaborados e retratos de personagens cativantes.
