Lily Allen

Lily Allen, born in 1985 in Hammersmith, London, is a British singer, songwriter and writer known for her mix of pop, ska and electronic music, and for her intelligent, sarcastic and socially critical lyrics. She has become one of the most distinctive voices in British music of the 21st century, combining humour, vulnerability and irreverence.

The daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, she grew up in an artistic environment, but she forged her own path. After posting songs on MySpace in the mid-2000s, he quickly gained popularity for the freshness and irony with which he portrayed everyday life and modern relationships.

Their debut album, Alright, Still (2006), brought immediate hits such as "Smile" and "LDN", and introduced a new voice in British pop – witty, critical and full of personality. The album received critical acclaim and nominations for the Grammys and Brit Awards, making Allen a central figure in the new pop scene.

With It's Not Me, It's You (2009), she expanded her sound into electronic territories, exploring themes of identity, politics and love with maturity and irony. Songs like "The Fear" and "Not Fair" confirmed his talent for uniting social commentary and wide-ranging pop.

After a hiatus and the release of the memoir My Thoughts Exactly (2018), Lily Allen returned with No Shame (2018), one of her most confessional works, where she addresses motherhood, divorce, addiction and personal growth with disarming honesty.

In addition to music, she stood out as a figure of public opinion, known for the frankness with which she addresses topics such as feminism, social class and mental health.

Today, Lily Allen is recognized as one of the most authentic and influential artists in contemporary British pop, a symbol of irreverence and of a generation that learned to transform vulnerability into a creative force.
