Lídia Mello é brasileira. Pós-Doutora em Estudos Artísticos/Fílmicos – Universidade de Coimbra; Doutora em Artes/ Cinema – UFMG e Mestre em Literatura – UFRGS, ambas universidades públicas do Brasil. É Editora de Brazil & Contemporary Cinema da Mistral Journal/University of Groningen. Uma das sócias-fundadoras e a Presidente do Conselho Fiscal da MUTIM - Associação de Mulheres Trabalhadoras das Imagens em Movimento. Programadora, Júri e Curadora de Cinema em Festivais e Avaliadora em Comissões de Filmes. Escreve críticas para o site C7NEMA e para a MUTIM. É autora do livro Do cinema de Béla Tarr (2019).
