Licenciado em Medicina pela FCM-UNL; Mestrado em Saúde Ocupacional pela FMUC. Fez ainda o curso de Hidrologia e Climatologia Médica e o Curso Superior de Medicina Legal. Colabora anualmente no Curso de Mestrado de Saúde Ocupacional na FMUC.
Especialista de Medicina Física e de Reabilitação no Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação de Alcoitão; trabalha no serviço de Cirurgia Cardiotorácica no âmbito da Medicina de Reabilitação no Hospital de Santa Cruz (Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Ocidental, EPE), mantendo, a nível privado, atividade em Clínica Médica.
