Leire Quintana nasceu em Bilbau em 1972, tendo-se fixado mais tarde em Madrid. Após ter vivido quatro anos em clausura, Leire regressou à sua vida de outrora. Numa tentativa de se voltar a adaptar ao ritmo frenético dos dias de hoje, resolveu pôr por escrito a sua experiência. Este livro é o fruto da sua reflexão. Atualmente, Leire trabalha numa fundação que visa melhorar as condições de vida de mulheres e crianças nos países em desenvolvimento.
