LASSAÂD MÉTOUI nasceu em Gabes, na Tunísia. Desde 1985, a Suíça, os Países-Baixos, a Tunísia, a Espanha, a Bélgica, a Alemanha e o Egipto têm acolhido as suas exposições. Ensina caligrafi a árabe e latina em França e em diversos países da Europa e do Magrebe. Publicações recentes: "Les dix portes de l’amour", "Lorsque l’amour vous fait signe, suivez-le", "Amour, ta blessure dans mes veines", "Le Désir et le Vin", texto de Omar Khayyâm (1998, esgotado), "L’Atelier du calligraphe" (2000).
