He was born in Febres, Cantanhede, right in the center of Gândara, and lived in Africa for more than two decades.
A journalist, he contributes to more than three dozen newspapers published in France, Germany, Canada, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Venezuela, Brazil, South Africa, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Australia, and Macau, in which he has published hundreds of opinion articles over the past few years.
As a novelist, he published: Africa, the Land of a Thousand Suns, The Hooting of the Owls, Sofia's Loves, The Autumn of the Soul, The Frontiers of the Absurd, Thoughts (Poetry), In the Shadows of the Night.
