Nasceu em Febres, Cantanhede, bem no centro da Gândara e viveu mais de duas décadas em África.
Jornalista, é colaborador de mais de três dezenas de jornais editados em França, Alemanha, Canadá, Luxemburgo, Suíça, Reino Unido, Estados Unidos, Venezuela, Brasil, África do Sul, Cabo Verde, Angola, Moçambique, Austrália e Macau, nos quais, ao longo dos últimos anos publicou centenas de artigos de opinião.
Como romancista, publicou: África, A Terra de Mil Sóis, O Piar dos Mochos, Os Amores de Sofia, O Outono da Alma, As Fronteiras do Absurdo, Pensamentos (Poesia), Nas Sombras da Noite.
