Kris Manjapra

Kris Manjapra nasceu em 1978 nas Caraíbas de ascendência africana e indiana. Cresceu no Canadá e completou a sua formação académica na Universidade de Harvard. Foi professor de História na Universidade Tufts e venceu o Emerging Scholar Award em 2016 da revista Diverse. Bolseiro do Berlin Institute for Advanced Study, do Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study e da Universidade da Califórnia, em Los Angeles, é atualmente Stearns Trustee Professor de História e Estudos Globais na Universidade Northeastern, em Boston.
A investigação de Kris Manjapra situa-se na interseção da história transnacional com o estudo crítico da raça e do colonialismo. É autor de outros quatro livros: M.N. Roy: Cosmopolitanism and Colonial Marxism (2010); Cosmopolitan Thought Zones of South Asia (2010, coordenador); Age of Entanglement: German and Indian Intellectuals Across Empire (2014, vencedor do International Merck-Tagore Prize); e Colonialism in Global Perspective (2020).
