Kevin Lynch (1918-1984) was Professor Emeritus of Urban Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His groundbreaking theories, published in seven books and dozens of articles, transformed the lives and visual environments of people in cities, from Massachusetts to Central and South America.
