Kelly Bowen, que vive em Winnipeg, cidade da província de Manitoba, no Canadá, é uma autora premiada com o RITA Award para romance histórico em 2017, 2018 e 2019. Frequentou a Universidade de Manitoba, onde se licenciou e obteve o mestrado em Estudos Veterinários. Exerceu depois a atividade de investigadora científica antes de ver tornado realidade o sonho de escrever ficção histórica. Com O Apartamento de Paris inicia uma nova incursão no género centrada na Segunda Guerra Mundial – e em personagens femininas que foram heroínas numa guerra devastadora.
