Juan Eslava Galán

Juan Eslava Galán (Arjona, Jaén, 1948) licenciou-se em Filologia Inglesa e é doutorado em Filosofia e Letras. Historiador, ensaísta e traduziu a poesia de T. S. Eliot. Escreveu mais de cinquenta obras, algumas das quais já foram publicadas em várias línguas. Autor reconhecido pela crítica e pelo público, entre os prémios que recebeu destacam-se os seguintes: Prémio Planeta 1987 (Em Busca do Unicórnio), Prémio Ateneo de Sevilla 1991 (El comedido hidalgo) e Prémio Fernando Lara 1998 (Señorita). É também autor de A Mula (O Quinto Selo Edições, 2008) que vai ser levada ao grande ecrã pelo realizador Michael Radford.
