José Prudêncio é licenciado em Filosofia (Universidade Católica, Braga) e mestre em Cultural Astronomy and Astrology (Bath Spa University, Inglaterra). Prepara actualmente um doutoramento em Filosofia sobre o tema da Astrologia e Linguagem. É consultor de Orientação e Previsão desde 1987, lecciona cursos e workshops de Astrologia, Quirologia e Tarot, e participa regularmente, como conferencista, em congressos internacionais. Tem trabalhado com alguns dos maiores especialistas e investigadores em Astrologia da actualidade: Nick Campion, Liz Greene, Bernadette Brady, Patrick Curry e Geoffrey Cornelius, entre outros.Vive no centro de Lisboa com a Eva, uma Tourinha com o Ascendente na Virgem e a Lua no Aquário, que chorou pela primeira vez às 15h 41m 53s de 21 de Abril de 1998.

O autor participa semanalmente no programa Praça da Alegria da RTP1 (com Jorge Gabriel) e tem uma página com análise de Mapas Astrais (compatibilidades e previsões para figuras públicas) na revista Notícias TV (sai às Sextas com o JN e o DN).
