José Pires Valério

José Peres Valério nasceu em Barrancos, em 13 de maio de 1944. Concluiu a 4.ª classe aos 11 anos. A partir dos 12 anos, foi Aprendiz de Ferrador, Trabalhador rural, Empregado de comércio (produtos alimentares); Serviço Militar Obrigatório (Beja, Leiria e Oeiras). Operário nas Indústrias de Moagem (Lisboa) e Lanifícios (Portalegre). Trabalhador-estudante, onde concluiu o curso geral dos liceus em 1973/1974. Administrativo na Câmara Municipal de Barrancos, entre 1983 e 1999. Membro dos Órgãos Sociais dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Barrancos, aproximadamente 30 anos. Fundador do Clube Amadores Pesca Desportiva de Barrancos. Membro dos Órgãos Sociais em: Sociedade Recreativa Artística Barranquense, Sociedade União Barranquense (esta extinta); do Barrancos Futebol Clube e da Sociedade Filarmónica Barranquense Fim de Século.
