José Miguel Ibáñez Langlois (Santiago, Chile, 1936) é sacerdote e doutorado em Filosofia e Letras pela Universidade Complutense de Madrid e em Filosofia pela Universidade Lateranense de Roma. Lecionou Teoria Poética, Poesia Contemporânea e Filosofia da Arte em várias universidades chilenas e europeias. É membro titular da Academia Chilena de Ciências Sociais, Políticas e Morais e escreveu aproximadamente 1.500 artigos de crítica literária, 12 livros de poesia e 20 livros de ensaios.
