Nasceu em 1953 nas Cortes do Meio, no concelho da Covilhã. Fez a escola primária em Castelo Novo e mais tarde frequentou o Curso Geral do Comércio na Escola Industrial e Comercial Campos Melo da Covilhã. Embora desde jovem gostasse de escrever, só publicou o seu primeiro livro, o romance "Vidas Cruzadas" em junho de 2014, e o seu segundo livro, "Uma Paixão Inesperada", quatro anos depois. Conta com várias participações em Antologias de Poesia até ao dia de hoje. É sócio com o n.º 297 da Associação Portuguesa de Poetas.
