José Manuel Baião

José Manuel Carvalho Baião, natural de Faro do Alentejo, uma aldeia alentejana situada no distrito de Beja. Habilitações Académicas: Licenciatura em Serviço Social pelo ISSS Lisboa, Especialista em Serviço Social pelo IP Beja, Mestrado e Doutoramento em Sociologia pela Universidade de Évora. Desenvolveu funções de Coordenação Geral e Direção técnica em algumas organizações sociais, no Alto e Baixo Alentejo. Foi docente no ISSS Beja, onde lecionou Unidades Curriculares no curso superior de Serviço Social e prestou supervisão técnica e científica a vários grupos de investigação, no âmbito da licenciatura. Atualmente, exerce funções de docente no Instituto Politécnico de Beja e é investigador colaborador no Centro de Investigação CIEQV.
