José Garcês

José Garcês (1928-2020), natural de Lisboa, frequentou a Escola de Artes Decorativas António Arroio. Discípulo do Mestre Rodrigues Alves, concluiu o curso de Artes Gráficas em 1946, ano em que se inicia na banda desenhada publicando no jornal O Mosquito. Com uma notável carreira de mais de 50 anos de actividade, José Garcês colaborou em mais de duas dezenas de jornais e revistas, para além de trabalhos sobre temas históricos, militares e de conservação da natureza, áreas em que se tornou um reconhecido especialista.
