José Carlos Pereira nasceu a 3 de janeiro de 1967, no Porto.
Viveu a sua infância e juventude na freguesia do Bonfim.
Atualmente vive em Gondomar.
É licenciado em Ciências Religiosas pela Universidade Pontifícia de Comillas.
Obteve a profissionalização na Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
É professor de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica e de Moral, Ética e Deontologia no Colégio de Gaia-Escola Católica.
Publicou o seu primeiro livro em 2017, Sementes de Humanidade, e participou em três antologias.
Palavras Sentidas… com Sentido é o seu novo livro, publicado em 2024 pela Oficina da Escrita.
