José Calvo Poyato
José Calvo Poyato was born in Córdoba in 1951.
He is a Full Professor of History and has combined research with teaching. His scholarly work has focused on the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the second half of the 19th century.
In the field of fiction, he has published, among others, the novels "Conjura en Madrid" (1999), "La Biblia Negra" (2000), "Jaque a la Reina" (2003), "El Manuscrito de Calderón" (2005), and "El Ritual de las Doncellas" (2006).
