José Antunes Calçada

Nascido em Alhandra-Vila Franca de Xira a 1 de maio de 1959, José Antunes Calçada formou-se pela Academia Militar. Mais tarde, frequentou a École de Guerre em Paris e o Instituto de Altos Estudos Militares (LAEM, atual IUM), onde concluiu o Curso de Estado Maior e o Curso de Promoção a Oficial General. Apaixonado por História foi Professor de História Militar no LAEM e coautor do livro A Cavalaria na Guerra Peninsular. É casado, tem dois filhos e três (quase quatro!) netos. Escreve, há muito tempo, versos dedicados à sua Mulher e, desde há nove anos, às suas Netas.
