José António Pinto
Born on January 31, 1954, in the parish of Campanhã, Porto, he grew up in a working-class family, learning early on the value of effort and resilience. He completed his commercial studies at age 16 and, by 26, was already a manager at a major textile company. He pursued a diverse career, leading teams in various areas such as IT, production, and quality management.
At the same time, since 1973, he has dedicated himself to writing, publishing texts and maintaining links with recognized figures in Portuguese literature. He was involved in amateur theatre, painting and drawing, and was awarded a prize as a playwright by the University Theatre of Porto.
In his final days, he remained active in community associations and volunteer work, coordinating cultural events. Writing continued to be his great passion, reflecting the legacy of a life dedicated to art and knowledge, until May 8, 2023, when he passed away.
