Jorge Varela Palhas

Jorge Varela Palhas nasceu em Almada em 1958. Terminou a Instrução Primária em Vila Nova de Milfontes em 1968 e o Ciclo Preparatório em Sesimbra. Completou o Liceu em Setúbal e licenciou-se em História pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Clássica de Lisboa em 1986.

É há três décadas, professor do Ensino Público e reside há seis anos na Vila da Madalena, na Ilha do Pico, Grupo Central dos Açores.

Publicou «Portugal: que Futuro?»,«Um Cão Vadio»,e «Memórias da Ilha Cinzenta». «O Ancião» é a sua estreia na ficção.
