Jorge José Martins Rodrigues nasceu em 1958.
Casado, uma filha. Economista. Doutor em gestão (ISCTE-IUL). Professor coordenador no Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa.
Especialista de reconhecida experiência e competência profissional em gestão empresarial, contabilidade de gestão e finanças empresariais.
Exerceu funções de gestão (planeamento, marketing, comercial, finanças) no setor privado, público e cooperativo, por mais de 15 anos.
Participa em júris de doutoramento e de mestrado, intervém em eventos científicos com apresentação de comunicações.
Tem publicado artigos em revistas com referee, capítulos em livros, livros, working papers.
Investiga e ensina nas áreas: empresas familiares, estratégia empresarial, família empresária, finanças empresariais, gestão global, governabilidade organizacional, marketing, planeamento e controlo de gestão, responsabilidade social e ética das organizações.
